Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora Waitematā is seeking a dynamic Physiotherapist for the inpatient rehabilitation team at North Shore Hospital. The role is 0.9 FTE, working across AT&R and ISU wards with an established multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred rehabilitation for older adults.

The successful candidate will have NZ registration, inpatient experience, and a track record in leadership and supervision of junior staff, along with strong assessment and communication skills.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Physiotherapist with a passion for excellent patient care, rehabilitation, and developing leadership, to join our inpatient rehabilitation team at North Shore Hospital based across the Assessment, Treatment, and Rehabilitation (AT&R) and Integrated Stroke Unit (ISU) wards.

This is a 0.9 FTE part-time role working on our AT&R and ISU wards. You will be working as part of an established inter-disciplinary team providing best practice rehabilitation through a patient centred approach to older adults. The work covers an array of conditions including patients with orthopaedic, neurological, and general medical conditions who require rehabilitation and often also have complex social and discharge planning needs. About You
  • New Zealand Professional Registration and valid APC
  • 2+ years of recent inpatient experience
  • Ability to lead, support and mentor/supervise junior staff
  • Experience with student supervision
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, great communication and fast thinking.
