Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an Experienced Spray Painter to join our Christchurch production team on the Afternoon shift 3.30pm to 11.30pm, Monday to Friday. This role suits someone with automotive, marine, or aerospace finishing experience who values precision and quality.

You will deliver high-quality industrial coatings from surface prep to finish, while adhering to international standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in spray painting (automotive, marine, or aerospace preferred).
• Strong understanding of paint preparation, application, and finishing techniques.
• Experience with electrostatic spray systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate electrostatic spray gun systems to automotive and aerospace standards.
• Prepare surfaces and coatings to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality.
• Apply paint to precise, specified thicknesses with consistency and accuracy.
• Conduct inspections and identify surface or coating defects.
• Support curing processes including hot tunnel and bake cycle systems.
• Maintain equipment and adhere to international coating specifications.
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures at all times.
