Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Therapy.
• In-depth knowledge of speech-language development and learning.
• Ability to translate professional knowledge into practical information for families.
• Ability to co-ordinate service provision in a multi-agency, trans-disciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess and understand the impact of speech and language difficulties in home, school and community.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers and other specialists to support children’s speech, language and communication development.
• Build and strengthen the capability of those who support learning, such as parents, teachers and whānau.
• Provide high-quality learning support aligned with He Pikorua guiding principles and NZ curricula.
