Job summary

Waste Management NZ Limited in Christchurch is seeking a Class 4 Driver - Partswasher to service partswashing equipment, collect waste materials, and keep sites safe and compliant.

This full-time, on-site role involves managing your own run, building strong customer relationships, and delivering a high standard of service every day while prioritising safety and reliability.

You’ll work in a supportive team that values safety and practical, hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Full NZ Class 4 licence with a good driving record D endorsement, or keen to get one.
• Experience in transport, waste, industrial services, or a similar hands-on role.
• Physically fit and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
• A strong focus on health and safety.
• Able to work independently and manage your day effectively.
• Good people skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Reliable, practical, and happy to pitch in where needed.

Responsibilities

• Operating specialised service vehicles and equipment.
• Servicing and maintaining partswashing units at customer sites.
• Collecting and transporting liquid and hazardous waste in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Completing waste tracking, compliance documentation, and service records.
• Conducting daily vehicle, equipment, and safety checks.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Building positive relationships with customers and representing WM professionally.
• Working collaboratively with a high-performing, safety-focused team.
