Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a Class 4 Driver - Partswasher to service partswashing equipment, collect waste, and keep sites safe and compliant. You’ll manage your own route, build strong customer relationships, and deliver a high standard of service on every visit.

This hands-on role offers full training on our equipment, a safety‑first culture, and opportunities to grow your career within a market‑leading waste services provider in Christchurch (Bromley) or Dunedin.

Qualifications

• Full NZ Class 4 licence with a good driving record.
• D endorsement, or keen to get one.
• Experience in transport, waste, industrial services, or a similar hands‑on role
• Physically fit and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
• A strong focus on health and safety
• Able to work independently and manage your day effectively
• Good people skills and a customer‑first attitude
• Reliable, practical, and happy to pitch in where needed

Responsibilities

• Operating specialised service vehicles and equipment
• Servicing and maintaining partswashing units at customer sites
• Collecting and transporting liquid and hazardous waste in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Completing waste tracking, compliance documentation, and service records
• Conducting daily vehicle, equipment, and safety checks
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Building positive relationships with customers and representing WM professionally
• Working collaboratively with a high‑performing, safety‑focused team
