Job summary

Northern Health School is seeking certificated teachers to support secondary learners (Years 7–15) who cannot attend regular school due to ill health. The role requires strong NZ curriculum knowledge and NCEA experience, with flexibility to teach across subjects and to work individually or in small groups.

Qualifications

• Experienced secondary trained teachers with strong NZ curriculum knowledge and NCEA experience.
• Understanding of NCEA across levels and ability to apply it in individualised learning.
• Willingness to teach across multiple subjects and adapt to student needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach students whose ill health prevents attendance at regular school settings.
• Work with diverse, vulnerable learners in individual or small-group settings.
• Possibly teach other subjects to fit timetable and roll growth.
• Be prepared to increase hours temporarily as the roll grows.
