Responsibilities

• Specialist Programme Delivery: Design and facilitate tailored daily learning programmes aligned with individual IEP goals, incorporating functional skills and positive behaviour support (Pb4l).
• Implementation Of BSLA Tier 2 - training for this will be provided if necessary.
• Progress & Collaboration: Maintain detailed tracking of progress, liaise confidently with external agencies/specialist services, and build warm, open partnerships with parents and whānau.
• Implementation of New Zealand curriculum, liaise with classroom teachers to carry this out, following normal classroom routines and expectations.

Are you a passionate, adaptable teacher dedicated to making a genuine difference for students with complex learning needs? We are seeking an exceptional Specialist Teacher to join our supportive team in a fixed-term role in 2027.

This position combines leading targeted intervention for BSLA. Facilitating a specialist programme for our students with ORS High and Very High Needs for a portion of their day and returning them to their class. There is also a component of classroom release.
