Role Description

The Specialist Cleaner is a full-time, on-site role based in Auckland, responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services in commercial environments. Day-to-day tasks include performing detailed cleaning of designated areas, using appropriate equipment and chemicals, and following set schedules and checklists. The Specialist Cleaner ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, including proper handling and storage of cleaning materials. The role involves responding to client requests, reporting maintenance or safety issues, and working closely with supervisors and team members to maintain consistent service standards. This position may include early morning, evening, or weekend shifts depending on client requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or specialist cleaning, with strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning procedures and checklists.
• Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery, with a commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices.
• Reliable time management skills, ability to work to schedules, and capacity to manage tasks independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients, supervisors, and colleagues, and for reporting issues clearly and promptly.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate weights, and work standing or moving for extended periods.
• Willingness to undergo relevant training, including health and safety, equipment operation, and site-specific procedures.
• Previous experience in facilities, hospitality, or related service industries is advantageous.
• Valid work rights for New Zealand; a clear background check and reliable transport to and from the worksite are beneficial.
