Job summary

Napier Boys’ High School is seeking an excellent and experienced Specialist Classroom Teacher (SCT) to lead professional development and support colleagues to improve practice. The successful applicant will mentor teachers, design and deliver PD, and work collaboratively with individuals, small groups and the whole staff.

Release time from classroom duties will be provided in line with the PPTA Collective Agreement.

• Strong background in designing and delivering professional development in teaching and learning.

We are seeking an excellent and experienced classroom practitioner and leader in professional development to join Napier Boys’ High School as our Specialist Classroom Teacher (SCT).

The successful applicant will be an outstanding teacher who is passionate about improving teaching and learning and supporting colleagues to develop their practice.

The role requires:

• A confident and highly effective classroom practitioner.
• Proven experience mentoring and supporting teachers to improve their classroom practice.
• A strong background in designing and delivering professional development in teaching and learning.
• The ability to work effectively with individuals, small groups and whole staff.

In line with the PPTA Collective Agreement, the SCT will be provided with release time from classroom teaching to undertake the responsibilities of the role.
