Job summary

Placements24 in Queenstown seeks an experienced Early Childhood Educator to support children with special needs and foster an inclusive learning environment. You will develop and implement IEPs and work with a multidisciplinary team to tailor interventions.

You will partner with families to ensure positive outcomes, provide targeted interventions, and contribute to ongoing professional development in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Early Childhood Development or Special Needs Education.
• Proven experience working with children with diverse learning needs.
• Strong understanding of child development, special education methodologies, and IEP processes.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and patience.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for children with special needs.
• Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to the unique learning requirements of each child.
• Facilitate inclusive classroom activities that encourage participation from all children.
• Collaborate with parents, therapists, and other professionals to create a cohesive support system.
• Observe and assess children's progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
