SouthRoads Ltd. seeks an experienced STMS to embed in the stabilising crew, setting up and running safe Temporary Traffic Management sites across Southland.

You’ll lead on-site, protect crews and road users, and work to ensure safety and compliance with best practices. Ideal candidates may already hold STMS qualifications or be keen to gain them, with strong communication and leadership, a proactive health-and-safety mindset, and willingness to travel across the region.

Formación

• Full New Zealand driver's licence (essential).
• A Class 2 licence is a strong advantage—tell us if you have it.
• Already have your STMS qualification, or keen to work towards one—we'll invest in getting you there.
• Solid understanding of temporary traffic management requirements and best practice (if you're already qualified).
• A proactive, no-excuses approach to health and safety.
• The ability to stay calm, think on your feet, and solve problems under pressure.
• Strong communication and leadership—you'll need to hold a site together.
• A genuine team player with an approachable attitude and willingness to travel around Southland.

Responsabilidades

• Embedded in our stabilising crew as the STMS, responsible for setting up and running safe, compliant Temporary Traffic Management sites across the Southland region.
• Protecting your crew, road users, and everyone else on site.
• Travel around Southland to forecasted sites and deliver on-site leadership and guidance.
• Uphold health and safety standards and drive a no-incident culture.
