Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to own a South Island territory in New Zealand. You will build and nurture long-term customer partnerships, win new business, and leverage our installed base and tendering resources to deliver meaningful outcomes from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience in Business Development, Account Management or Technical Sales.
• A proactive, self-driven mindset with a genuine appetite for growth.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers at all levels.
• A consultative sales approach and a strong commercial acumen.
• Comfortable using digital tools and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and convert a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
• Grow and develop key customer relationships across your territory.
• Leverage installed base data and customer insights to identify high-value opportunities.
• Promote Schneider Electric's service, consulting, digital and modernisation solutions.
• Collaborate with technical, operations, tendering and other specialist teams to deliver the best customer outcomes.
• Develop and execute practical territory and account growth plans.
• Work with tendering and technical teams on proposals and customer solutions.
• Manage forecasts, pipeline, and activity through CRM tools.
• Stay close to your market with regular travel throughout the South Island.
