Job summary

Momentum Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect for a 6-month contract in Auckland (hybrid). You will own day-to-day solution architecture across interconnected systems, working with engineering leadership to keep delivery on track and simplify complex problems.

You will design integrations between cloud platforms and core systems, collaborate across Azure, Java backend, and React frontend environments, and help balance immediate delivery needs with longer-term technical

Solutions Architect | Contract (6months) | Auckland (Hybrid)

We're looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join a complex technology environment, working closely with engineering leadership and senior technical teams.

This is a hands-on architecture role suited to someone who is pragmatic, comfortable working in ambiguity, and able to simplify complex technical problems while keeping delivery moving.

About The Role

You’ll take ownership of day-to-day solution architecture across a range of interconnected systems, providing support to engineering leadership and Lead Engineers while helping ensure technical decisions, integrations and delivery remain on track.

• Leading solution architecture across interconnected enterprise systems.
• Supporting Lead Engineers with technical direction and architectural oversight.
• Designing integration approaches between modern cloud platforms and existing core systems.
• Working across Azure, Java backend and React frontend environments.
• Unpicking legacy business logic and identifying pragmatic paths forward. Simplifying complex solutions and avoiding unnecessary technical complexity.
• Balancing immediate delivery needs with longer-term technical debt considerations.

About you

You’ll Be An Experienced Solutions Architect Who Is Comfortable Getting Into The Detail And Working Closely With Engineering Teams. Ideally, You’ll Bring

• Strong Solutions Architecture experience across complex, interconnected systems.
• Solid Microsoft Azure architecture experience.
• Experience with Java backend architectures.
• Experience working with React-based frontend applications.
• Strong API, systems integration and integration architecture experience.
• Experience integrating modern platforms with established core or legacy systems; and the ability to understand and unpick complex legacy business logic.
