Job summary

Momentum Consulting in Auckland is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect for a 6-month contract, hybrid work arrangement. You will own day-to-day solution architecture across interconnected enterprise systems, supporting engineering leads while guiding architectural decisions and delivery.

You'll work across Azure, Java backend, and React frontend environments, designing robust integration approaches and simplifying legacy logic, balancing immediate delivery with long-term technical debt

Qualifications

Strong Solutions Architecture experience across complex, interconnected systems.
Experience with Java backend architectures.
Experience working with React-based frontend applications.
Strong API, systems integration and integration architecture experience.
Experience integrating modern platforms with established core or legacy systems; and the ability to understand and unpick complex legacy business logic.

Responsibilities

Leading solution architecture across interconnected enterprise systems.
Supporting Lead Engineers with technical direction and architectural oversight.
Designing integration approaches between modern cloud platforms and existing core systems.
Working across Azure, Java backend and React frontend environments.
Unpicking legacy business logic and identifying pragmatic paths forward.
Balancing immediate delivery needs with longer-term technical debt considerations.
