Job summary

SailPoint in New Zealand is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead customer projects, leveraging IAM and enterprise software expertise to design, scope and deliver SailPoint solutions across SaaS and on-prem environments.

You will work closely with clients and partners, share best practices, and guide implementation teams through technical delivery, training, and ongoing advisory services. Travel up to 15% is expected as projects require on-site collaboration in Auckland or Wellington.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in enterprise software, SI or consulting, with 5+ years hands-on SailPoint and IAM experience.
• Experience in software development, implementation and configuration.
• Excellent client and partner communication skills.
• Experience with LDAP, AD, and various enterprise apps.

Responsibilities

• Gather customers' business use cases and document product-based requirements with designs.
• Educate customers and partners on product architecture and best practices.
• Assist in scoping, analysis, and documentation of implementations.
• Develop and deliver technical training for SailPoint partners.
• Help teams design creative solutions to complex problems.
• Contribute to the delivery of the solution through technical work and configurations.

What You’ll Do:

Solution Architects at SailPoint begin with product training where they can leverage their experience to gain a deep understanding of our SaaS and/or Software solutions.

Within the first two months,

you will begin serving as the technical lead on customer projects where you will employ your client and partner communication skills, as well as their industry knowledge, to share organizational best practices for SailPoint products and identity governance.

A t the end of the first six months

you will have established yourself as both a technical and consultative expert within the SailPoint Services organization.

At the end of the first year, you

will have become a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and to less experienced team members.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering customers' business use cases and documenting product-based requirements with recommended solution designs
• Educating customers and partners on high-level productarchitecture, functional design, and best practices
• Assistingin the scoping, analysis, and documentation of implementation projects
• Developing and delivering technical training designed to enable/educate SailPoint implementationpartners
• Helping implementation team members design creative solutions to complex problems.
• Assistingwith the actual technical delivery of the solution via written code or complex configuration

Requirements:

• 7–10+ years of professional experience within an enterprise software company, systems integrator, or consulting firm, including 5+ years of hands‑on SailPoint, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and enterprise software implementation experience.
• Experience in software development,implementation,and configuration
• Excellent communications skills and extensive experience workingdirectlywith clients andpartners
• Experience with some of the following:
• XML, SPML/SOAP,webandapplicationservers
• Windows and Unix (Linux, Sun, HP, AIX) platforms
• Directories (LDAP, AD)
• Enterprise resource planning or service management systems (SAP, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow)
• Front-end language experience (HTML, CSS, Angular, React, Vue.js)

Preferred:

• Familiarity with other identity governancevendorssuch asMicrosoft,Sun, Oracle, IBM, or Novell a plus
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts a plus
• Familiarity with role-based access controls and least-privileged access models a plus
• Experience with project management duties (project planning, resource management, scope, schedule and status, documentation)
• Experience with quality assurance duties is a plus (usability testing, performance testing, automated testing, test scripts, test cases and test plans)
• Security software or IT audit experience

Education:

• J2EE certification and/or CISSP certification is aplus
• SailPoint Certified Engineer or SolutionArchitectis a plus and is expected within 12 months ofhire

Travel:

Willingness and ability to travel up to 15%
