Job summary

Anthony Harper in Auckland is looking for a Solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE in financial services or related areas to join our fast‑moving team. You will work with banks, investment funds, insurers and other sector participants, handling a range of investment funds, regulatory, capital markets and fintech matters.

You’ll work closely with partners, have direct client contact, and the chance to take ownership of matters while contributing to the growth of the practice.

About the opportunity

Our Financial Services team is looking for a Solicitor to join our Tāmaki Makaurau office.

This is an opportunity to build your career in a fast moving and evolving area of law, working with a diverse range of financial services clients including banks, investment funds, insurers and other participants in the sector.

You’ll work across a broad range of interesting and complex matters, including investment funds and managed investment schemes, financial services regulation, FinTech, new financial ventures, regulatory investigations, capital markets and emerging financial services issues.

You’ll work closely with experienced partners and have plenty of direct client contact, with the opportunity to take ownership of matters and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

About you

You'll have 1 - 3 years’ PQE and experience in financial services or a related area.

You’ll be commercially minded with good drafting and communication skills and the confidence to build trusted relationships with clients. You’ll enjoy taking ownership of your work while being part of a collaborative team.

Ideally, you’ll bring experience from a financial services practice or financial institution. We’re also open to hearing from lawyers with transferable experience in areas such as banking, corporate, markets, regulatory or litigation who are motivated to develop their career in financial services.
