My client is a highly regarded specialist firm with a sophisticated corporate practice and a strong Trans-Tasman focus. The team works with leading corporates, private equity investors, entrepreneurs and financial institutions on significant transactions and strategic projects.
You’ll be exposed to complex, high-value work and regularly work alongside some of New Zealand and Australia’s leading law firms. This is an environment where lawyers are trusted with meaningful responsibility and have the opportunity to work closely with partners and clients from an early stage.
The firm is particularly interested in lawyers around the 3–6 year PQE level, but is also open to conversations with candidates whose experience doesn't fit neatly within that range.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally be a NZ admitted solicitor with around 3–6 years' experience in corporate and/or M&A law.
You’ll have strong technical foundations and experience working on sophisticated transactions. Experience gained in a leading New Zealand or international firm would be advantageous.
You’ll have commercially astute, intellectually curious and comfortable working in a high-performance environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and other advisers will be important.
The firm is also open to lawyers with different but complementary experience who can demonstrate strong technical ability, professional judgement and the potential to succeed in a specialist corporate practice.
People enjoy working here because the expectations are high, but so is the level of support. Partners take a genuine interest in their lawyers' development and make time to understand their strengths, ambitions and career goals. It’s a close-knit environment where quality and performance sit alongside respect and genuine care for people.
