Job summary

Sunergise is seeking a Solar PV Technical Sales Engineer to join our Auckland team. You will bridge engineering expertise with commercial growth, identifying and developing new solar projects across New Zealand and the Pacific.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years of experience, and a strong ability to prepare technical proposals, assess feasibility, and communicate complex concepts to clients. A solid knowledge of NZ regulations is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of professional experience.
Experience in solar PV or renewable energy preferred.
Strong knowledge of solar PV system design and installation methods.
Familiarity with NZ building codes and electrical standards.
Excellent communication and business development mindset.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the solar PV market.
Conduct technical feasibility assessments and preliminary engineering analysis for prospective solar PV projects.
Develop and prepare detailed technical proposals and quotations for solar PV installations.
Liaise between technical teams and clients on scope, timelines and specifications.
Collaborate with sales and marketing to support business development.
Maintain knowledge of industry standards, regulations and best practices in solar PV.
Prepare technical documentation, project specifications and client presentations.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.
Support the development of standardized solutions and service offerings.
