Gallagher in Hamilton is seeking a curious and adaptable Software Engineer, junior or intermediate, to join our internal Dev Platforms team. You'll help build and maintain the platform that supports pipelines, tools, and services used by Gallagher Security developers.

You’ll collaborate with engineering squads, learn quickly, and contribute ideas to improve tooling, infrastructure, and practices. The role offers hybrid work and opportunities to grow with KiwiSaver and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving to break down complex challenges into actionable steps.

• Experience with or interest in software delivery tooling: CI/CD, code signing, dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain shared tools, pipelines, and services for developers.
• Work with teams to identify friction and improve the platform.
• Contribute to a supportive engineering culture with code reviews.
• Propose tooling ideas and get room to try them.
