Gallagher Security’s Platform Portfolio is expanding, and we’re seeking a Software Engineering Lead to strengthen technical leadership, build high‑performing teams, and drive scalable, secure, high‑quality solutions. This senior leadership role blends hands‑on direction with people leadership across the engineering discipline.

You’ll influence how teams work, guide technical decisions, develop others, and help Platform Portfolio scale its engineering capability for the future.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and coach engineering teams.
• Strong grounding in full‑stack development across multi‑disciplinary systems.
• Excellent communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a defined engineering discipline within Platform Portfolio, providing technical direction across design, architecture, delivery, risk, quality, and lifecycle considerations.
• Build engineering capability through coaching, mentoring, clear expectations, constructive feedback, development planning, and career support.
• Partner with Product, UX/UI, Architecture, Platform, DevOps, Security and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, high‑quality solutions.
• Help teams make sound technical decisions while balancing delivery, quality, risk, cost, compliance, and long‑term maintainability.
• Champion continuous improvement, modern engineering practices, automation, standards, and team effectiveness.

About The Role

This is a key leadership role within our Security Product environment, combining hands‑on technical direction, people leadership, and accountability for delivery outcomes across a defined engineering discipline. You’ll influence how teams work, guide technical decision‑making, develop others, and help Platform Portfolio continue to scale its engineering capability for the future.

In This Role, You’ll

• Lead a defined engineering discipline within Platform Portfolio, providing technical direction across design, architecture, delivery, risk, quality, and lifecycle considerations

• Partner closely with Product, UX/UI Design, Architecture, Platform, DevOps, Security, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑quality solutions

• Champion continuous improvement, modern engineering practices, automation, standards, and team effectiveness

About You

You’re an experienced engineering leader, or a senior engineer ready to step further into leadership. You bring strong engineering judgement, curiosity, and the confidence to guide others through technical decisions, delivery priorities, and change. You’ll enjoy leading through ambiguity, making work visible, removing blockers, and helping teams deliver predictably while creating an environment where engineers can grow and do their best work. You’re collaborative, clear in your communication, and comfortable influencing across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Ideally, You’ll Bring

• Strong full‑stack engineering experience, with deep technical expertise in a core discipline and the ability to work across related systems and technologies
• Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers through clear expectations, feedback, and support
• The ability to balance technical excellence with delivery, quality, risk, cost, compliance, and long‑term maintainability
• Clear communication, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to influence across varied stakeholder groups
• A continuous improvement mindset and curiosity about new tools, automation, standards, engineering practices, and industry trends
