The Opportunity

We are seeking a Software Engineer (Data Management) with a strong background in computer science and mathematics. This is a new position to the business, and will work within our shared services team that works across ECS and Lapp.

Our company manages over 250,000 products and thousands of customers, generating large volumes of data every day. To make smarter business decisions, we need someone who can organise, analyse, and manage data effectively. This includes writing queries, designing reports and developing software tools to manage data. At times, the role will also involve hands‑on work, such as classifying and structuring product data.

As a sales‑driven company, we regularly import product information, manage pricing and update price lists. This position will play a key role in monitoring and maintaining pricing, as well as supporting price updates being rolled out to the market.

We are looking for someone who not only has strong technical skills but also excellent communication skills. This role works within our Product Management team, collaborating closely with Finance, Management, Software Development and sometimes directly with customers.

While this role sits within Product Management, there are future pathways into software development or management, as our company also has a dedicated Software Development team.

This position is ideal for someone early in their career who is hard‑working, high‑potential and looking to gain experience that will help shape a future career in software development or business leadership.
