Job summary

placeMe IT Recruitment is seeking a Data Engineer in Wellington to design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows. You will evolve data models and architectures, supporting self-service reporting and data governance in a collaborative Agile environment.

You will lead with strong communication, work with Snowflake, Cortex, Tableau, DBT, and cloud tools while prioritising data quality and reliability in a dynamic team setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a Data Engineering role.
• Experience with Snowflake and Cortex.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and Python scripting.
• ETL/ELT development and data warehouse expertise.
• Experience with Tableau, Snowflake and DBT.
• Cloud environment experience.
• Familiar with Prefect or Airflow and GitHub Actions.
• Strong communication in a collaborative Agile setting.
• Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Solid ETL/ELT development and data warehouse expertise
• Experience with Tableau, Snowflake and DBT
• Comfortable working in cloud environments
• Comfortable with Prefect (or Airflow), and GitHub Actions
• Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, Agile environment
• Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
