Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island is seeking a strategic, action‑oriented leader to shape the Social Supermarkets programme across the North Island, guiding a values‑driven team and collaborating with community organisations, stores, suppliers and government agencies to provide healthy and affordable food with dignity.

You will own the programme’s strategy, governance and performance, driving continuous improvement of operating models and championing outcomes with senior leaders across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading complex programmes with multiple stakeholders.
• Proven people leadership and ability to build high‑performing teams.
• Strong strategic thinking balancing long‑term development with operational delivery.
• Exceptional relationship‑building and influencing skills.
• Governance, reporting, risk management, operational and commercial capability.
• Experience developing operating models, frameworks or processes for sustainable outcomes.
• Data‑driven decision making using insights and feedback.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior leaders or boards.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, roadmap and ongoing development of the Social Supermarkets programme across the North Island.
• Lead delivery and sustainable operation of new and existing Social Supermarkets.
• Build influential partnerships with community organisations, stores, suppliers, government agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Strengthen programme governance, performance reporting and risk management.
• Continuously improve operating models, standards, frameworks and partner support.
• Lead and develop the Social Supermarkets team, building capability and engagement.
• Champion the programme internally and externally with senior leaders, governance groups and media when required.
