Job summary

ZURU Creative in Auckland is seeking a Social & Content Editor to lead filming and editing across short-form social, long-form, product, lifestyle, and campaign content. You will shoot on location and in studio, master AI formats, and ensure high craft standards in every frame.

You’ll bring 1–3 years of strong portfolio, fluency with editing suites, and knowledge of how to tailor content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. A collaborative, self-starting attitude is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years worth of strong filming and editing portfolio.
• Editing suite fluency - Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci or equivalent.
• AI and mixed media experience - actively using generative AI tools to create content.
• Social platform knowledge - understand what performs on each platform and how to tailor it.

Responsibilities

• Film and edit content across a range of formats - short-form social, long-form, product, lifestyle, reactive and campaign.
• Shoot on location and in studio - comfortable in both environments and adaptable to briefs.
• Master mixed media and AI formats to push how content can look and feel.
• Maintain high craft standards from framing to colour grade to sound in every frame.
• Bring creative concepts to life from briefs and scripts to execution with vision.
• Contribute your own ideas and adapt to better angles and approaches.
• Stay platform-native for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube with platform-specific formats.
• Manage post-production end-to-end from raw footage to final cut.

The Role

What You Are - The Maker & Storyteller. You are ZURU Creative's production powerhouse. Part editor, part crafter and part creator. You bring ideas and stories to life through crafted content, either out in the world or in the studio, with a camera or with AI, polished format or raw and real. You understand the creative brief and you have the skills to deliver on it: frame by frame, cut by cut, post by post.

What You'll Do

Production & Craft

• Film and edit content across a range of formats - short-form social, long-form, product, lifestyle, reactive and campaign.
• Shoot on location and in studio - comfortable in both environments, with the flexibility to adapt to any brief.
• Master mixed media and AI formats - utilising generative AI, motion and mixed media to push what content can look and feel like.
• Maintain high craft standards - from framing to colour grade to sound, you care about every detail in every frame.
• Bring creative concepts to life - working from briefs and scripts provided by Creatives and S&C Managers to execute with vision.
• Contribute your own ideas - your on-the-ground perspective is valuable. If you see a better angle, say it.
• Stay platform-native - you know how content needs to look and feel on TikTok vs Instagram vs YouTube and you create accordingly.
• Manage your own post-production - from raw footage to final cut, you own the edit end to end.

What You Bring

Skills & Experience

• 1-3 years worth of strong filming and editing portfolio - work that shows range, craft and a genuine creative point of view.
• Editing suite fluency - Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci or equivalent. You're fast, clean and skilled.
• AI and mixed media experience - actively using generative AI tools to create, enhance and push the boundaries of content.
• Social platform knowledge - you understand what performs, why it performs, and how to make it for each platform.
