Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join a rapidly expanding cybersecurity services provider's SOC. The role focuses on real-time monitoring, detection, and initial response to threats targeting client networks, with opportunities to learn and grow.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, 2+ years in cybersecurity, SIEM experience (Splunk or QRadar), knowledge of IDS/IPS, firewalls and endpoint security, and strong communication to escalate incidents as

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years in cybersecurity, SOC preferred.
• Knowledge of network protocols and common attack vectors.
• Experience with SIEM tools and log analysis.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS, firewalls and endpoint security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work shifts and adapt to a dynamic threat environment.
• CompTIA Security+ is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR.
• Analyze security incidents to determine scope, impact, and root cause.
• Perform initial triage and investigation of alerts, distinguishing threats from false positives.
• Escalate incidents to senior analysts or IR teams as per procedures.
• Utilize threat intelligence feeds to enhance detection capabilities.
• Document security events, findings, and actions taken.
• Contribute to SOC process and playbook improvements.
