Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Cybersecurity Analyst to strengthen our security posture in a fully remote capacity. You will lead threat detection, incident response, and mitigation across the organization's infrastructure and applications.

You will mentor a team of analysts, develop security policies, manage SIEM and security tools, and collaborate with IT and development teams to bake security into all systems. CISSP/CISM/GIAC are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, incident response, or security operations.
• Proven experience leading security initiatives and/or a team of analysts.
• Deep understanding of network security, endpoint security, cloud security, and threat intelligence.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the threat detection, analysis, and incident response processes to safeguard organizational assets.
• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.
• Manage and operate security information and event management (SIEM) systems and other security tools.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Mentor and guide junior cybersecurity analysts, fostering their professional growth.
• Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure security is integrated into all systems and applications.
