About the Role

This role is primarily focused on real-time monitoring, detection, and initial response to security threats targeting client networks. You will be instrumental in analyzing security alerts, investigating suspicious activities, and escalating incidents according to established protocols. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
• Analyze security incidents to determine scope, impact, and root cause.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably within a SOC environment.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, common attack vectors, and security concepts.
• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and log analysis.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work shifts as required (if applicable), and adapt to a dynamic threat environment.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.
