Job summary

Aon New Zealand is seeking a SME Client Executive to deliver excellent service to existing and new SME clients across the portfolio. Based in Hawke's Bay (Gisborne, Hastings or Waipukurau), you will work with Claims and ABS to provide timely, accurate support and advice.

You'll own the SME portfolio, promote services, manage renewals, and drive efficiency through process improvements while maintaining a client-first, can-do mindset.

SME Client Executive

As a key member of our regional SME team, you'll play an important role in delivering excellent service to existing and new clients across the SME portfolio. You'll work collaboratively across the business, to ensure a seamless, positive client experience.

The Mahi

You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality client support, owning a SME portfolio where you will promote services, conduct risk management and working alongside the wider team to deliver solutions to Aon clients.

We are open for this role to be based in our Hawkes Bay region - Gisborne, Hastings or Waipukurau.

You will also:

• Manage the end-to-end client journey, working closely with Claims teams and Aon Business Services (ABS) colleagues to ensure smooth, timely support.
• Lead renewal and mid-term discussions, ensuring advice is timely, accurate, and aligned with client needs.
• Contribute to client planning alongside Client Directors/Managers.
• Optimise systems and processes to drive efficiency, scalability, compliance, and a strong colleague and client experience!
• Champion continuous improvement, using data insights and best practice to deliver predictable, high-standard outcomes.

About You

You'll be a natural communicator who understands how to tailor to the situation, whether it be face to face, over the phone or through written correspondence. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with clients, systems and detail – and who takes pride in getting things right the first time. You will ideally bring:

A level 5 Fire and General qualifcaiton is required for this role. (Or if you are currently on the pathway to being qualified, or have qualifications in other areas of insurance we maybe able to consider your application)
