Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a Mower Operator to join our Auckland team. The role involves maintaining local parks and grounds, mowing, weed eating, and basic equipment upkeep. You’ll be part of a hardworking crew dedicated to keeping community spaces well presented.

Experience with ride-on mowing is preferred but not required; candidates should be fit, team-oriented, and committed to health and safety practices. Training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• A clean and current Class 2 driver’s licence.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude—helping teammates comes naturally.
• Desire to adhere to the company’s health and safety procedures.
• Motivation to get the job done.
• Physically fit for a hands-on outdoor role.

Responsibilities

• Mowing and weed eating to maintain parks and grounds.
• General parks and grounds maintenance across Waitakere region.
• Basic mechanical maintenance of mowing equipment and plant gear.
• Ensure grounds are well presented and maintained to a high standard.

If you enjoy working outdoors, possess an awesome work ethic and have a class 2 drivers' licence, then this role would suit you! We currently havea vacancy for a Mower Operator to join our high-performingAuckland Toru team.

What does a Mower Operator do you ask?

You will be responsible for general parks and grounds maintenance with activities in theWaitakerearea including (and we will train you if you're not an expert), mowing, weed eating, basic mechanical maintenance of plant and ensuring that the grounds always look well presented. This is a varied, physical role upkeeping our local community, where you will be a highly valued member of the team!

Who we are looking for

Ideally we would love someone who has experience operating motorised ride-on mowing equipment and other small plant equipment, however, this is not a must. As long as you are a hard-worker, with a passion for working outdoors and getting stuck in then you would be a perfect candidate. Other success factors include:

• A clean and current class 2 driver's licence
• Be a team player with a positive attitude - helping out your team mates needs to be second nature
• A desire to adhere to the company's health and safety procedures
• Tones of motivation with a strong desire to get this job done
• Physically fit - the role doesn't just involve sitting on a mower
