Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a Mower Operator to join the Auckland Toru team, performing park and grounds maintenance in the Waitakere area. You will mow, weed eat, and assist with basic plant equipment upkeep, contributing to well-presented grounds for the community.

Ideal candidates will have a Class 2 licence, be physically fit, and work well in a team while following health and safety procedures. Training is provided where needed, with an emphasis on outdoor work and reliability.

Qualifications

• Clean and current Class 2 driver’s licence required.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help teammates.
• Desire to adhere to health and safety procedures.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Mow and weed eat parks and reserves in the Waitakere area.
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance on garden equipment and plant machinery.
• Keep grounds well presented and tidy for the community.

If you enjoy working outdoors, possess an awesome work ethic and have a class 2 drivers' licence, then this role would suit you! We currently have a vacancy for a Mower Operator to join our high-performing Auckland Toru team.

What does a Mower Operator do you ask?

You will be responsible for general parks and grounds maintenance with activities in the Waitakere area including (and we will train you if you're not an expert), mowing, weed eating, basic mechanical maintenance of plant and ensuring that the grounds always look well presented. This is a varied, physical role upkeeping our local community, where you will be a highly valued member of the team!

Who We Are Looking For

Ideally we would love someone who has experience operating motorised ride-on mowing equipment and other small plant equipment, however, this is not a must. As long as you are a hard-worker, with a passion for working outdoors and getting stuck in then you would be a perfect candidate. Other success factors include:

• A clean and current class 2 driver's licence
• Be a team player with a positive attitude - helping out your team mates needs to be second nature
• A desire to adhere to the company's health and safety procedures
• Tones of motivation with a strong desire to get this job done
• Physically fit - the role doesn't just involve sitting on a mower
