Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a Mower Operator for our Auckland Toru team. The role involves outdoor grounds maintenance, including mowing, weed eating, and basic plant maintenance, with training provided as needed.

The ideal candidate is physically fit, a team player, and committed to health and safety protocols. You will contribute to keeping parks and gardens well presented across Waitakere.

Qualifications

• Clean and current class 2 driver’s licence.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude — helping out your teammates should be second nature.
• Desire to adhere to the company’s health and safety procedures.
• Physically fit — not just sitting on a mower.

Responsibilities

• General parks and grounds maintenance in the Waitakere area.
• Mowing and weed eating activities.
• Basic mechanical maintenance of plant equipment.
• Ensure grounds are well presented and tidy.

Job description

If you enjoy working outdoors, possess an awesome work ethic and have a class 2 drivers' licence, then this role would suit you! We currently have a vacancy for a Mower Operator to join our high-performing Auckland Toru team.

What does a Mower Operator do you ask?

You will be responsible for general parks and grounds maintenance with activities in the Waitakere area including (and we will train you if you're not an expert), mowing, weed eating, basic mechanical maintenance of plant and ensuring that the grounds always look well presented. This is a varied, physical role upkeeping our local community, where you will be a highly valued member of the team!

Who we are looking for

Ideally we would love someone who has experience operating motorised ride-on mowing equipment and other small plant equipment, however, this is not a must. As long as you are a hard-worker, with a passion for working outdoors and getting stuck in then you would be a perfect candidate. Other success factors include:

• A clean and current class 2 driver's licence
• Be a team player with a positive attitude - helping out your team mates needs to be second nature
• A desire to adhere to the company's health and safety procedures
• Tones of motivation with a strong desire to get this job done
• Physically fit - the role doesn't just involve sitting on a mower
