Job summary

Tradestaff Hawke's Bay is seeking a capable Skilled Labourer to join a leading Hawke's Bay engineering company, performing industrial painting and coatings work. You should be practical, safety‑minded and comfortable using hand and power tools, with current EWP and Working at Heights tickets.

Skilled Labourer - Industrial Painting

Location: Hawke's Bay
Start: Immediate

Tradestaff Hawke's Bay is looking for a capable Skilled Labourer to join a leading engineering company carrying out industrial painting and coating work.

We're after someone who is practical, switched on and confident working with their hands. Previous painting, industrial painting or coatings experience is preferred, but we're also interested in people from engineering, construction or similar trades who have the right tickets and a strong practical skillset.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting with industrial painting and coating work
• Preparing steel and other surfaces prior to painting
• Using hand and power tools safely and confidently
• Working from EWPs and at heights
• Masking, cleaning and preparing work areas
• Assisting experienced industrial painters and tradespeople
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Following site and engineering health & safety procedures

What we're looking for:

• Current EWP ticket
• Current Working at Heights (WAH) ticket
• Painting or industrial painting experience preferred
• Strong practical or trades-based skills
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Comfortable working at heights
• Reliable, safety-focused and able to work as part of a crew
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Clean police record
• Available for an immediate start
