Tradestaff Hawke’s Bay seeks a capable Industrial Painter to join a leading engineering company in Palmerston North, performing on-site painting and coating work. You will prepare surfaces, use hand and power tools, and work from heights with a safety‑minded crew.

Ideal candidates have practical trades experience and current EWP/WAH tickets, are reliable, safe, and ready for an immediate start. Weekly pay through Tradestaff and a hands-on, team-focused environment await.

Qualifications

• Current EWP ticket.
• Current Working at Heights (WAH) ticket.
• Painting or industrial painting experience preferred.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Clean police record.
• Immediate start available.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with industrial painting and coating work.
• Preparing steel and other surfaces prior to painting.
• Using hand and power tools safely and confidently.
• Working from EWPs and at heights.
• Masking, cleaning and preparing work areas.
• Assisting experienced industrial painters and tradespeople.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.

Tradestaff Hawke’s Bay is looking for a capable Industrial Painterto join a leading engineering company carrying out industrial painting and coating work in Palmerston North.

We’re after someone who is practical, switched on and confident working with their hands. Previouspainting, industrial painting or coatings experience is preferred, but we’re also interested in people from engineering, construction or similar trades who have the right tickets and a strong practical skillset.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting with industrial painting and coating work
• Preparing steel and other surfaces prior to painting

• Working from EWPs and at heights
