Job summary

Delta Utility Services is seeking a dedicated Skilled Greenspace Team Member in Dunedin to maintain sports grounds and recreational areas to a high standard. The role involves operating ride-on mowing equipment and assisting with turf maintenance to ensure safe, presentable spaces for community use.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years of ride-on mowing experience, strong knowledge of sportsfield practices, and a valid New Zealand driver’s Licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating ride-on mowing equipment, preferably in sportsfield, turf, parks, or greenspace maintenance.
• Good knowledge of sportsfield maintenance practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including daily equipment inspections, basic maintenance, fault identification, and minor repairs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Full New Zealand driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate ride-on mowers and other turf maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain sports fields, parks, and recreational areas to agreed standards.
• Complete mowing, line trimming, edging, and general grounds maintenance tasks.
• Conduct pre-start checks and basic servicing of equipment.
