Job summary

Turbo Staff Ltd is seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team in New Zealand. You will perform a wide range of carpentry and construction tasks, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely completion of contracted works.

You will study drawings, select materials, and assemble structures including framing, cladding, and fittings while adhering to health and safety requirements. A minimum of 3 years in construction is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant carpentry experience in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs and measurements.
• Proven competency in framing, roof work, and timber assemblies.
• Experience with different materials and fasteners used in structural work.

Responsibilities

• Study drawings and specifications to determine materials and installation procedures.
• Order, select and prepare timbers and other materials.
• Cut, shape and assemble wood parts with precision and joinery accuracy.
• Erect frameworks, roof framing, sub-flooring and flooring systems.
• Install cladding, doors, windows and other fittings.
• Operate power and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Assist with concrete formwork and site preparation tasks.
• Travel to sites with travel and lodging provided as needed.
