Job summary

Extrastaff is recruiting full-time carpenters and joiners to support projects across New Zealand, including Wellington, Nelson, and other regions. You will join busy construction teams on commercial, residential and infrastructure sites, performing framing, formwork, cladding, finishing work, and material handling while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Carpentry and Builder or Construction Labouring
• Must have experience in building, joinery, formwork and concreting
• Competency in English is required. You must have good verbal and written communication skills and be a team player.
• Applicants must be skilled with standard building and construction tools and safety equipment.
• Ideal Candidates will have: 5+ years of experience in construction industry
• Experience in building, joinery, formwork and concreting

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings
• Formwork, framing, cladding, and finishing work
• Construct, install, and repair structures
• Maintain health and safety standards
• Work on rotating project sites across the country
