Job summary

Fulton Hogan’s Wellington Transport Alliance is seeking a Site Traffic Management Specialist to join our team in the Wellington region. You will manage traffic on site, ensuring safety and compliance on the State Highway network, working with a supportive crew.

This night-shift role typically runs 7pm–7am, Sunday to Thursday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. You’ll apply your STMS qualifications and help keep our roads safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence required or higher.
• Category A/B/C STMS Practising licences (or equivalent).
• Experience in traffic management and civil construction.
• Ability to use IT devices (IPad/Tough Book).
• Strong safety focus and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage temporary traffic management across the Wellington Transport Alliance network.
• Site setups and leadership on TTM sites.
• Mentor and model safe practices for Workmates with TTM.
• Report incidents and near-misses.
• Lead health, safety and wellbeing on site; overtime may be required.

We’re looking for a Site Traffic Management Specialist (STMS) to join our Wellington Transport Alliance (WTA) Team in the Wellington Region. You’ll assist with the traffic management on site, ensuring a strong commitment to safety, by ensuring the safe flow of traffic around the state highway network.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for an experienced STMS to join our Wellington Transport Alliance (WTA) whānau, where no two days (or roads) are the same.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering safe, compliant, and efficient traffic management across the State Highway network. You’ll work alongside a supportive, close knit team who are passionate about connecting communities and making a real difference across the Wellington region.

This role is Night Shift usually hours worked between 7pm and 7am, Sunday to Thursday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week

Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities

• Managing the temporary traffic management requirements across the Wellington Transport Alliance network
• Site setups
• Mentoring and being a role model for fellow Workmates with TTM
• Managing TTM sites
• Report all incidents, accidents and near misses
• Proactively lead the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone on site in line withcompany standards, procedures and regulations.
• You will need to be flexible as this role will require you to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
