Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Mount Wellington, Auckland, is seeking an experienced Site Traffic Management Specialist (STMS) to oversee traffic management on active worksites and lead crews on site. You’ll work closely with Traffic Controllers, Shadow Drivers and engineers to bring plans to life on site while adapting to changing conditions in real time.

This hands-on role requires current STMS Cat A/B/C, a Class 2 licence (preferred), and a proactive, safety‑mocussed approach with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Current STMS Cat A, B and C.
• Class 2 licence preferred.
• Proven experience as an STMS, including leading crews on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead temporary traffic management across a range of worksites, keeping crews, road users and the public safe.
• Coordinate the set‑up, monitoring, adjustment and pack‑down of TTM in line with approved plans and NZGTTM requirements.
• Support and guide Traffic Controllers and Shadow Drivers, building a safe, reliable and well‑run site team.
• Make real‑time decisions on site conditions, hazards and traffic flows to keep work moving and standards high.
• Complete site documentation and reporting accurately, while working closely with crews, engineers, clients and other stakeholders.
