Job summary

Fulton Hogan Gore is seeking a hands-on STMS/Maintenance Operator to lead traffic management on the Gore Road Maintenance contract. You will plan and implement safe traffic solutions, support cyclic maintenance, and respond to operational needs with a focus on safety and quality.

Work outdoors with a close-knit crew, hold a full licence, and bring practical road maintenance or civil construction experience. We offer ongoing training and clear opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in traffic management (TMO Minimum) road maintenance, civil construction, outdoor labouring, or similar hands-on work.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to contribute as part of a team.
• A safety-first mindset and commitment to quality work.
• A full licence, with additional licences or endorsements an advantage.
• The ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure traffic management standards are upheld for safe work on road sites.
• Cyclic road maintenance and general network upkeep safely and to a high standard.
• Support routine and reactive maintenance activities across the contract area.
• Work across a range of field tasks as part of a crew delivering practical outcomes for the community.
• Use tools, equipment, and vehicles responsibly and complete basic checks where required.
• Follow Fulton Hogan systems, site procedures, and safety expectations at all times.

This hands‑on, outdoor role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in delivering quality results, and values being part of a close‑knit team. As a Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS), you’ll take the lead in planning and implementing safe, efficient traffic management solutions across a variety of civil projects. You’ll also be involved in maintaining the network, supporting cyclic maintenance programmes, and responding to operational needs across the contract.
