Job summary

Kaingaroa Tipu Limited in Rotorua is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead day-to-day operations at the Kaingaroa Forest log processing site. This practical, hands-on leadership role works with employees, contractors and internal teams to coordinate activity and resolve issues while ensuring safety, quality and value recovery.

You will drive continuous improvement, lead through influence, manage contractors, and promote a culture of care and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or practical experience.
• Experience leading operations in a complex site, production, processing or yard environment.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety, operational risk and compliance.
• Experience working with contractors, suppliers and service providers.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Are you an experienced operational leader who can balance safety, people, production and continuous improvement? We are looking for a Site Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our log processing site located in the Kaingaroa Forest, Rotorua.

This is a practical, hands-on leadership role working closely with employees, contractors, suppliers and internal teams. You will coordinate site activity, resolve operational issues and ensure people, assets and processes are aligned with production, quality and value recovery requirements.

• The ability to lead through influence and make sound decisions under pressure
• Forestry, log processing, supply chain or operational improvement experience would be an advantage
