Job summary

Assemble in Dunedin, New Zealand, is seeking a Site Engineer or Project Engineer to join a major infrastructure project. The role is based on site in Dunedin and offers a competitive package with a vehicle and relocation support.

You will contribute to planning and delivering critical civil works, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with plans and regulations. Ideal candidates will have NZCE/diploma/degree in Civil Engineering and proven experience as a site or project

• Hold an NZCE, diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or similar

Responsibilities

We are partnered with a South Island owned and operated civil contractor looking for a Site Engineer or Project Engineer to be based in Dunedin.

You will begin working on a major infrastructure project, an awesome project to add to your CV!

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule work procedures to ensure projects are undertaken efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.
• Interpret plans, regulations and codes of practice to direct progress of the work, making sure that specifications and regulations are followed, and proper methods and materials are used.
• Assist with costs and payments and negotiation with clients and subcontractors.
• Record construction progress and variations from the design drawings or specifications.
• Project quality assurance documentation and project reports.
• Complete site set outs and as builts.
• Communicating with subcontractors regarding project and contract requirements.

What we Require:

• Organisational and time management skills with the ability to apply initiative to problem solving.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Hold an NZCE, diploma or degree qualification in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Experience working as a site or project engineer on civil construction projects.
