Job summary

OneStaff is seeking experienced shutdown welders for a busy upcoming shutdown and project season across Auckland and the Central North Island. You will join a team delivering industrial shutdown welding and maintenance. Duties include MIG, TIG and Stick welding on carbon and stainless steel, pipe and structural welding, plant repairs and fabrication.

Strong hours and overtime on selected projects with potential for ongoing work. ASME IX tickets and site safety credentials are valued.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification or strong welding experience.
  • Shutdown, heavy industrial or plant experience.
  • Proficient MIG, TIG and/or Stick welding; ASME IX tickets advantageous.
  • Confined Space and Gas Testing advantageous.
  • Working at Heights advantageous.
  • Site Safe advantageous.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment requirements.
  • Reliable, safety-focused attitude.

We are looking for experienced Shutdown Welders for a busy upcoming shutdown and project season across Auckland and the Central North Island.

We have multiple industrial shutdowns and projects coming up and are looking for reliable, experienced welders who are keen to secure strong hours and potentially move from one project directly onto the next.

The Work

Depending on the shutdown or project, duties may include:

  • Industrial shutdown welding and maintenance
  • MIG, TIG and Stick welding
  • Carbon and stainless steel work
  • Pipe and structural welding
  • Plant repairs and maintenance
  • Fabrication and modification work
  • Working alongside fitters, fabricators and maintenance crews
  • General shutdown and project welding
What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you will have:

  • Trade qualification or strong relevant welding experience
  • Previous shutdown, heavy industrial or plant experience
  • Strong MIG, TIG and/or Stick welding abilityCurrent welding tickets/certifications advantageous
  • ASME IX experience/tickets highly regarded
  • Confined Space and Gas Testing advantageous
  • Working at Heights advantageous
  • Current Site Safe advantageous
  • Ability to pass pre-employment requirements
  • Reliable, safety-focused attitude
