Yachting Developments in Auckland is seeking skilled stainless steel and aluminum sheet metal fabricators to join our fabrication team. Experience in marine or high quality sheet metal is preferred, but not essential.
This full‑time role runs 6:00/6:30/7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime by mutual agreement. Read drawings, fabricate, weld and finish yacht fittings to exacting standards while upholding safety and quality.

Yachting Developments builds international award-winning Super Yachts. Built using high strength carbon fibre, these beautiful new vessels are quite special, they are bespoke, they range in size from 35 to 50 meters in length (100 - 150 foot), hand made and custom built from the ground up, right here in Auckland, at our premises located at The Concourse .
Due to growth and significant forward orders we are seeking skilled, practical hands on stainless steel and aluminum Sheet Metal fabricators to join our stainless steel and aluminum fabrication team.
While marine experience is an advantage, it is not essential as the role would also suit a person with experience in high quality sheet metal or dairy fabrication. If you have a passion for the Marine Industry (A person who likes boats) this could be your dream job!!
The role is a full time position. Hours of work are tailored to miss the traffic, 6.00am or 6.30am or 7.00 am start to 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday, with Easy motorway access. (Overtime is available by mutual agreement)
No two days are the same, time will fly as the role is varied and interesting.

Read and interpret drawings
Fabrication and welding of stainless steel and aluminum parts and components to a high standard
Manufacture of high quality yacht fittings
Ensure all quality standards are met
Ensure deadlines are met
Key Skills required for the role:
Team Player, this is important we are a team
Highly Skilled welder: TIG & MIG (Stainless Steel & Aluminum)
Highly Skilled in fabrication of high quality stainless steel and aluminum parts/components
Skilled use of hand tools and machinery
High standard of workmanship and excellent attention to detail
Ability to plan work to meet the deadlines specified for each job
Experience in similar role is an advantage but not essential
Fork lift license is an advantage but not essential
Formal trade qualification is an advantage but not essential
Welding tickets are an advantage but not essential as welds will be tested and certified at factory
A very good command of the English language is essential
