Haines Attract for The Salvation Army in Auckland is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Trade Worker for light fabrication, TIG/MIG welding, and machine operation. The role offers weekly pay and a permanent full-time position with hours ranging from 30 to 60 per week.

You will read technical drawings, select appropriate metals, cut and form stock, and weld components to high standards. Applicants should have 2+ years of relevant experience and a strong safety mindset.

Formación

• Reading blueprints and technical drawings to determine job requirements.
• Proficient TIG/MIG welding of stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel.
• Operate sheet metal machines and hand tools safely and accurately.
• Physically fit and able to work with precise tolerances.

Responsabilidades

• Study blueprints, drawings and specs to determine material and equipment needs.
• Cut, fold, shape and weld sheet metal components.
• Machine light fabrication and on-site assembly where required.
• Finish products by polishing and cleaning; repair as needed.
