Job summary

Franklin Smith is seeking multiple experienced sheet metal workers in New Zealand (Nelson region) with a strong safety mindset and solid references. You will mark out, shape, form, join sheetmetal and related materials while reading blueprints and maintaining quality.

Successful candidates will have at least 3 years of full-time sheetmetal experience on commercial or civil projects, pass a police check and drug test, and be ready for regional travel.

Qualifications

• NZ citizen or resident status is required.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time sheetmetal experience on commercial or civil projects.
• Must pass police check and drug test.
• Reliable and safety-conscious with a good work attitude.

Responsibilities

• Mark out, shape, form and join sheetmetal and other materials.
• Review blueprints or specs to determine work requirements.
• Measure materials or objects for installation or assembly.
• Weld metal components as required.
• Plan layout for construction, installation, or repairs.
• Fabricate parts or components and select construction materials.
• Ensure all activities are safe and compliant with Franklin Smith policies.
• Travel to different regions for projects may be required.
