Job summary

Green Cross Health is seeking a Payments Specialist for the Shared Services finance team. This permanent full-time role focuses on processing supplier invoices and payments across New Zealand’s Unichem and Life Pharmacy networks.

The position requires high-volume transaction experience and strong accuracy. You will manage payment runs, supplier reconciliations, and supplier communications, while maintaining records and contributing to reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience processing supplier invoices and payments in a large organisation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with Xero is advantageous.

Shared Services Payment Specialist - Green Cross Health

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Payments Specialist to join our high performing finance team within our Shared Services function.

In joining our team you will play an important role in delivering accounts payable and payment services to our group of Unichem and Life Pharmacies across New Zealand.

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

• Processing supplier invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Preparing and completing regular payment runs
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate supplier records in accordance with policy
• Responding to queries from suppliers and other stakeholders
• Accurate completion of reporting as required
• Being proactive and thinking outside the box
• Actively contributing to our team culture and performance

This is a Permanent Full-time position working 40 hours per week across Monday to Friday.

Do you have what we are looking for?

• 3-5 years experience in a large complex NZ business
• 3-5 years experience in an Accounts Payable or Payments role
• Experience in high volume transactions
• Experience with supplier reconciliations and payment runs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good command of the English language
• System savvy - Intermediate Excel a must, previous use of Xero a bonus
• Positive and can-do attitude
• Ability to work well independently or as part of a team
