Turn technical problems into practical solutions
Do you enjoy pulling things apart, finding the root cause of a problem and getting technology working as it should?
We’re looking for a hands-on Service Technician to join the eShepherd team in Hamilton. You’ll diagnose, test and refurbish connected electronic products while helping our customers, partners and internal teams resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
eShepherd is Gallagher’s virtual fencing platform for cattle. Using solar-powered, GPS-enabled neckbands connected to web and mobile applications, our technology allows farmers to create and manage virtual grazing boundaries without relying solely on physical fencing.
This is a varied technical role where you’ll work across electronics, firmware, IoT systems and customer support. You’ll be close to the technology, the teams developing it and the customers using it in real farming environments.
Working closely with Customer Success, R&D, Operations and our Specialist Partners, you’ll take ownership of technical issues from initial diagnosis through to resolution.
You’re technically curious, practical and calm under pressure. You enjoy working through problems logically and take pride in delivering a reliable solution.
Experience with connected devices, IoT products, firmware updates, CRM systems or inventory platforms such as SAP would be an advantage.
Don’t meet every requirement? If you have strong technical aptitude, enjoy hands-on problem-solving and believe you can make an impact, we’d still love to hear from you.
