Gallagher's eShepherd team in Hamilton, New Zealand, is seeking a Project Coordinator to support engineering, production and new product introduction projects.
You will work with the Project Manager and cross‑functional teams across R&D, operations and manufacturing, keeping plans, information and risks visible to keep work moving.
This hands‑on role suits someone who values structure, detail and momentum and wants to be close to real product development.
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join the eShepherd team in Hamilton, New Zealand, supporting the delivery of engineering, production and new product introduction projects.
eShepherd is Gallagher’s virtual fencing platform for cattle - solar-powered, GPS-enabled neckbands connected to web and mobile apps that allow farmers to draw, move and manage grazing boundaries without physical fencing.
You’ll work closely with our Project Manager and teams across R&D, hardware, software, production, supply chain and manufacturing, helping keep projects moving, documentation clear and stakeholders aligned.
This is a hands-on coordination role for someone who enjoys structure, detail and momentum - and wants to be close to real product development.
You’ll support the Project Manager with planning, schedules, documentation, reporting and follow-through across concurrent engineering and product development projects.
You’ll also take ownership of smaller projects, coordinating them from scope through to closure with regular guidance and support.
A key part of the role is supporting eShepherd’s design verification and product validation process, helping coordinate the testing, sign-off and production readiness activities that move products from design into full production.
Your success is simple: projects are well organised, teams have the information they need, risks are visible early, and work keeps moving.
Maintaining project plans, schedules, milestones and documentation
Supporting project scopes, business cases and success criteria
Coordinating smaller projects from planning through to closure
Tracking actions, milestones, risks and project progress
Supporting design verification and product validation activities
Helping coordinate NPI, BOM changeovers and production readiness work
Working with internal teams, suppliers, contractors and stakeholders
Preparing meeting notes, status updates and action registers
Supporting project handover, debriefs and documentation close-out
You’ll report to the Project Manager and work closely with teams across R&D, New Product Introduction, Operations, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
This role sits where engineering, product development and production come together - helping make sure ideas, actions and timelines are clear as eShepherd continues to scale globally.
You are organised, practical and comfortable keeping multiple pieces of work moving at once.
You’ll also bring:
1-2 years’ experience coordinating or supporting projects
Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
Confidence maintaining schedules, actions, records and project documentation
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Confidence using Microsoft Office
Experience with project tracking software, such as MS Project
A calm, collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders
The confidence to raise risks, blockers or gaps early
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, product development or new product introduction would be highly valued. A qualification in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering would also be an advantage, but what matters most is your ability to coordinate well, learn quickly and help teams deliver.
What we’re building is fundamentally changing how livestock producers manage their farms.
