Job summary

Halter is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to own the performance, reliability, and scalability of its on-farm collar and tower network. You will diagnose field issues, design architectures for scalable networks, and set technical direction as Halter grows.

You will lead wireless protocol choices (LoRa, LPWAN), implement telemetry pipelines, and mentor other engineers while coordinating with firmware and product teams for end-to-end data flow from devices to the Halter platform.

Qualifications

• Deep experience designing and operating large-scale wireless networks.
• Own network architecture end-to-end and keep it healthy in production over years.
• Comfort with RF/antenna behaviour, tower hardware, edge devices, and cloud systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand on-farm connectivity challenges and translate into actionable requirements.
• Own operation and optimisation of the collar and tower network for performance and scalability.
• Design and evolve the network architecture focused on wireless protocols and real-time telemetry.
• Improve network health with monitoring, data analysis, and field feedback.
• Lead tower deployment strategy including site selection and provisioning automation.
