Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or Risk Management.
• 7+ years in insurance underwriting.
• Experience with multiple lines (Commercial, Personal, Marine).
• Strong actuarial concepts and risk modeling.
• Proficient in underwriting software and analytical tools.
• Client-facing or broker liaison experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite insurance applications and set premiums.
• Analyze financial statements and loss history to guide decisions.
• Build relationships with brokers and agents to grow business.
• Ensure compliance with guidelines, policies and regulations.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify trends.
• Provide guidance to junior underwriters and support staff.
